Public Policy Committee
The Public Policy Committee consists of members willing to visit, write, and/or call their legislators about public policy issues endorsed by the AAUW. All members are encouraged to keep updated on current issues and legislation.

Book Sorters
Members sort books donated to AAUW for our annual Used Book Sale in June. Sorting is done throughout the year. The sorts are open to any member; all are welcome. The sorting takes place at our storage warehouse on the second Saturday of the odd months during book drops and on other dates as necessary.
Afternoon Bridge I & II
Afternoon Bridge meets in members' homes.
Second Wednesday, 12:00 Noon
Fourth Thursday, 12:30 PM

Members attend community events and group activities.

Members gather to sort books for the used book sale.

| Evening Book Browsers
Members read and review fiction and nonfiction selected by the group. A great opportunity to meet new members, exchange opinions, share ideas, stimulate your brain, and socialize. Group meets in members' homes the 2nd Tuesday at 7:30PM.

Great Decisions
World Cultures interest group utilizes the Great Decisions format. If you are interested in world affairs and discussion, please join us. Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of most months at 7:00PM in members'homes.
| Lunch and Literature I & II
Fiction and nonfiction books are read and reviewed according to each group's interest. Members take turns preparing lunch in their own homes. L&L I meets the 2nd Thursday and L&L II meets the 4th Monday of the month.

Lunch and Literature III
Members read and discuss fiction and nonfiction chosen by the group -- a great way to share ideas, get acquainted with members and read those books you've been meaning to pull from the shelf. The group meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at members' homes. Each member brings a brown-bag lunch.
| Arts & Entertainment
The group selects a movie, home video, or a nearby inexpensive event. Dates are being selected.

Lyric Opera
Occasional opera tickets are available for the Sunday matinee Lyric Opera series. Contact Christine Myles, 630-969-7068.

| Pri-Merry Players
Participants perform a readers theater style play from an original script written by Joyce Tumea. Audiences include our branch, other AAUW branches, and libraries. Members decide which engagement they can schedule.
| History Club
An informal group will meet when the mood strikes or we have interesting topic to discuss. Contact Cindy Heckler at 961-0622 for more information
